Fund Selection

	Selecting superior funds globally based on fund assessments from our dedicated fund
	analysts at Fund Research Dept.
	Constructing portfolios optimizing underlying clients' objects and guidelines.

Asset Allocation

	Updating asset allocations with mid- and long-term perspectives, based on expected
	asset returns and risks provided by the Investment Environment
	Discussion Committee, which utilizes macroeconomic outlooks by Daiwa Institute of
	Research during the estimation process.

We appraise mutual funds qualitatively and quantitatively.

Our teams appraise mutual funds offered mainly for defined contribution pension plans. By interviewing fund managers and analyzing the data quantitatively, we attain the information about the quality of each fund. We release the ratings of the funds once a year for defined contribution pension plans, and also formulate diverse business ideas for the investment companies.
